We've gone right back to virtually the beginning this month, focusing on Amazorblades, Attrix, Flesh and Dick Damage. While not strictly punk, Amazorblades had a powerful , solid rock sound. They formed in 1972 and were superceded by punk and new wave, guys like Rick Blair and Attrix, Flesh and the inimitable Mr Dick Damage & Co.
Rick Blair of course formed the band Attrix and the record company Attrix Records, and later set up the record shop in Sidney Street. His first venture was a single, Lost Lenore b/w Hard Times. Check out the original Attrix sleeve and 7" - complete with John Bull printing. Now those were the days.
Flesh were one of the first bands to play at the Vault along with Wrist Action, and Dick Damage. More photos have come to the light, enough on Flesh to build a small gallery.
Thanks to all contributors as usual. Without your support there would be no new stuff cropping up all the time. So keep it coming.
Must just mention the Golinski Brothers gig at the Albert on 5 Sept. It'll be great to see the guys in action again and hopefully some of you will make it down there for what should be a great night out. If you can't be arsed, up yours!
